ABOUT THE ARTIST
Isabel Amundson is a graphic designer and fine artist from Maryland + she has been creating for over 5 years. She utilizes her extensive understanding for design and her desire to push the boundaries to create vivid, fresh and interactive art pieces and wearable work. Through the use of black light paint and acrylics, she is able to achieve polished and unique works in a style best described as graffiti-esque abstract expressionism. From expertly executed logos and advertising, to fine art and custom painted sneakers, Isabel is a visionary and multi-faceted artist in the making.
STATEMENT
CREATE TO CAUSE A COMMOTION.
Art only truly means something when you have surpassed displaying skills and techniques and allow your principles, emotions, beliefs and soul to overflow into your work. To reach beyond oneself. To search inward and outward. When you allow that takeover, you can truly develop a work of art that speaks volumes and starts conversations that propel change.
Social issues, internal struggles, emotional tension and self understanding are primary themes in much of my work.

I strongly believe that the only limits that artists have is within themselves. I strive to achieve what I dream, and all that I can imagine. This is a motto I live by, and I aim to make it the foundation of my work and encourage others to believe in themselves with the same conviction.
